Through the stories he tells, Simon Brooks will lead you into his folk and fairytale world, where
adults huddle around the fireside to tell of strange folk, long journeys, and surprising rewards,
and where children peer down from their sleeping loft to listen to story after story. “Stories keep
us human,” Simon tells us. Come share with him the magic that happens when you open your
heart to his world-wide tales of mystery, transformation, and wonder.
Since 1991, Simon Brooks has been telling to audiences all over the world. He has won awards
for his storytelling albums from Storytelling World and Parent’s Choice. His mission is to spread
and share the art of traditional storytelling to a wider audience. To show the power of—and need
for—the ancient stories of folk and fairy tales, myths, and legends. To encourage others to tell
their own stories and their favorite folk tales in a way that is inclusive to all people of all belief
systems. To keep the art of storytelling alive in all communities. Visit Simon’s website and listen
to some of his favorite stories: www.diamondscree.com.
